Your benefits as a family caregiver

Working for pflegehero pays off

Expert guidance and support

We support you with individual solutions for professional, high-quality family caregiving. And we are always there to answer your questions.

Financial security

Being employed as a family caregiver can reduce loss of income and the risk of poverty in old age. We help you achieve financial security and coordinate your caregiving in the best possible way.

Relief and expertise

We support you with administrative tasks so that you can concentrate on caring for your loved one. At the same time, you acquire the know-how you need for every situation.

Our standards for quality of care

Like every Spitex (home care) organisation in Switzerland, pflegehero assesses care needs according to best nursing practice – using a recognised assessment tool. At the same time, the caregiving abilities of the family caregivers are assessed.

As an important element of quality of care, family caregivers record in the progress report all activities that deviate from the agreed care plan. Whatever happens, a back-up service of care professionals is always there to support you with advice and practical help. Should you be unable to provide care, our trained nursing staff will take over the care tasks at the family’s request.

  • Cover when family caregivers are unavailable

In emergencies, our nursing staff step in for you and take over the basic care of the person in need of care.

  • Care progress report / care documentation

Family caregivers keep the care progress report on a daily basis and document their care measures.

  • Telephone contact

Depending on your needs, regular phone calls take place with the registered nurses – at least every 14 days.

  • Home visits

Depending on the care situation, the registered nurses regularly visit the family caregivers on site – at least once a month.

  • Reassessment of care needs

The registered nurses carry out a reassessment at least every 6 months, or whenever required or prescribed.
