Four steps to pay for family caregiving

Working for pflegehero pays off

Expert guidance and support

We support you with individual solutions for professional, high-quality family caregiving. And we are always there to answer your questions.

Financial security

Being employed as a family caregiver can reduce loss of income and the risk of poverty in old age. We help you achieve financial security and coordinate your caregiving in the best possible way.

Relief and expertise

We support you with your administrative tasks so that you can concentrate on caring for your loved one. At the same time, you acquire the know-how you need for every situation.

Needs assessment

After the initial phone consultation, we arrange a first appointment at your home. Using “interRAI HC Schweiz”, an assessment tool recognised throughout Switzerland, we identify the individual need for outpatient care of the person in need of care. We also discuss the following points together:

  • Which care measures are necessary?
  • Which family member will provide the care?
  • How many hours per week are needed?
  • What would the monthly pay be?

Employment, pay and documentation

If you meet our terms of employment as a family caregiver, you will receive your employment contract from us. Every day, you record the basic care you have provided as working time, in line with the care plan. Every 14 days, you send us the care progress reports you have kept. Your pay is then paid out in accordance with the provisions of your employment contract. Two weeks after signing the contract, we discuss the following points with you:

  • Review of the care progress report
  • Answering initial care questions
  • Assessment of the current situation

Care goals and training

Based on the nursing diagnoses, we work with you to define the care and support goals and draw up an individual care plan. This describes the measures we will take to achieve the goals set for the person in need of care.

Through monthly visits and regular contact, pflegehero recognises the resources of the people in need of care and their family caregivers, and thereby improves the quality of care.

  • How are you coping with your situation and what problems are there?
  • How can we support and guide you as a caregiver?
